The right contract for your state or territory
Western Australia has no mandatory vendor disclosure statement – sales run on the standard Contract for Sale by Offer and Acceptance, and only strata sales require seller disclosure (Forms 28 and 29). BYB has a licensed conveyancer prepare the contract and any strata disclosure your listing needs.

Since 1 August 2025, the Property Law Act 2023 requires sellers to provide a Seller Disclosure Statement (Form 2) before the contract is signed.
What's required
Sellers must provide buyers a Seller Disclosure Statement (Form 2) before the contract is signed. It must include detailed property disclosures such as title, easements, zoning, and building approvals. To complete it accurately, the vendor answers a set of questions about the property, and the statement is then prepared and signed off by a licensed conveyancer.

What's required
WA operates largely on a buyer-beware basis with no mandatory vendor disclosure statement. Sales use the standard Contract for Sale by Offer and Acceptance with the Joint Form of General Conditions. Strata sales require a seller disclosure statement (Forms 28 and 29).
